by Sciana Network

The theme for the Sciana Network’s seventh cohort is “Systems leadership for population health in times of scarcity”

Applications are now being welcomed from those seeking to join the Sciana Network’s seventh cohort.

Sciana is looking for mid-senior-level leaders in Germany, Switzerland, and the UK who can catalyse and empower collective action among actors, organisations, and coalitions for systems-level change in health.

Cohort 7’s theme is “Systems leadership for population health in times of scarcity.”

Successful applicants will exchange strategies, pioneering work, innovations, and bold ideas in their work across Germany, Switzerland, and the UK towards advancing population health.

Fellows will incubate and experiment with new cross-boundary collaborations during the program through an applied leadership project called the Sciana Challenge.

They will be supported by programme co-leads, Sir David Behan and Mary Helen Pombo, who will work closely with Sciana Advisors and the network’s three partner foundations: The Health Foundation, Careum, and the Bosch Health Campus.

Due to start in May 2025, the two-year systems leadership programme will include four residential meetings in Salzburg, Austria, at Schloss Leopoldskron, home of Salzburg Global Seminar.

The tentative dates* for the in-person meetings in Salzburg are:

Fellows will be required to attend all four gatherings. They’ll also be encouraged to collaborate on joint projects in smaller project teams between these meetings.

The application deadline is 30 June 2024. Applicants will receive a response between September and October 2024. Selected applicants will be invited to an online interview with representatives from the foundations and Salzburg Global Seminar.

We encourage people of all genders, races/ethnicities, and people with disabilities to apply. At Sciana, we value diversity, equity, and inclusion and strive to create an inclusive community of healthcare leaders from different backgrounds who bring unique perspectives to the table.

* These dates include travel time to Salzburg. Participants arrive in the evening on the first day and travel back home in the morning of the last day. The programme takes place over three days.
