leadership vision

At the heart of my view of leadership is an inspiring vision for our organisation, a functioning network in which our organisation interacts, an inspiring environment for staff and a lot of courage to do the right things right.

my story

My cohort 2 of Sciana inspired me in several ways: I got to know colleagues from Germany and England who are struggling with very comparable problems to improve their health system.

To my great surprise, the discussions with the Swiss colleagues were very intense and open, much more open than "at home" in Switzerland, where we also see each other often. Sciana and Salzburg has thus made a great contribution, because the closeness and common understanding can be transferred to Switzerland.

about me

Stefan Spycher is the CEO of the Careum in Switzerland. He was the vice director-general of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) in Switzerland. There he was responsible for the Directorate Health Policy (eHealth, Health Professionals, Health Care Strategies, Evaluation and Research). Spycher studied economics and political science in Berne, Basle and Bonn. His thesis he wrote about the risk adjustment in the mandatory health care insurance in Switzerland. Before FOPH Spycher was two years head of the Swiss Health Observatory and fourteen years Director of a private applied research institute.
