about me

Anne-Marie Engel is the Chief Grant Officer at Leo Foundation, Denmark; and board member for the University of Oslo and the Innovation Fund Denmark. She has 14 years of experience and expert know-how with leading and implementing funding strategies in leading private Danish foundations, supporting mainly biomedical research. She has extensive experience with establishing public-private partnerships on research as well as board-collaboration and implementation of complicated grant making strategies, and strategic work on research policy and education policy. Further to that she has experience with various kinds of science communication to a broader audience. She is a medical doctor by training, holds a Ph.D. in tumour immunology from The University of Copenhagen, and has 15 years of personal research experience. She is a board member of The University of Oslo, Norway and of the Innovation Fund Denmark, which is a public foundation for the advancement of research and innovation.
