about me

Michael Moran is an oncology global medical director at AbbVie, a biopharmaceutical company. At AbbVie, Michael leads a medical team with responsibility for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, partnering on research projects and other activities with leading academics, clinicians and health systems around the world. As well as this professional role, Michael is a trustee of St Joseph's Hospice in Hackney, London, where he is also the chair of the clinical governance committee. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Michael worked in clinical academic medicine, with a clinical and research focus on head and neck oncology surgery and molecular epidemiology. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael returned twice to clinical practice part-time, working in intensive care and respiratory medical services in the United Kingdom.

Outside of work, Michael has a strong commitment to voluntary work in Lourdes, France, and is a member of the International Committee of Lourdes.
