As the Director of Alzheimer Switzerland since 2015, Stefanie has been instrumental in shaping Switzerland's national dementia strategy. Her leadership has played a pivotal role in raising care standards and preparing the healthcare system for demographic changes, reflecting her commitment to enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable individuals.Prior to her role at Alzheimer Switzerland, Stefanie Becker co-founded the Institute on Ageing at Bern University of Applied Sciences, where she championed interdisciplinary research to address future public health challenges. From 2012 to 2018, she served as the President and board member of the Swiss Gerontological Society. Additionally, Stefanie established and led the journal "Applied Gerontology," focusing on issues pertinent to ageing societies.
